BY chance, I was driving north on Broadway when a jet took off from West Field and zoomed skyward, just like in the movies. It was an awesome moment.
It would be outstanding if next year, during Operation Cope North, the military could stage a show for the people of Tinian, and whomever else might be on island, demonstrating the capabilities of their aircraft and professional personnel. Even more so when there are participating units from other countries, like this year.
Some years back bleachers were constructed during Cope North to allow us to watch them do fast refueling exercises, and everyone loved it.
It would help the people of Tinan feel like they are a contributing part of the military development on their island.
