MOMMYLA'S Hair & Beauty Salon now offers state-of-the-art skin clinic services.

"We have the latest equipment used by dermatologists," said the salon's general manager, Debralyn “Michelle” David Santos who underwent training at a certified skin clinic in the U.S. She herself performs skin spa services such as signature facials.

"I’m professionally trained to do facials,” she said. “We all have different skin types and skin problems. Every case is unique and I treat each case with the utmost care.”

Aside from facial services, Mommyla also offers microblading and eyebrow shading. These services are performed by Dennis “La Diva” David, a certified and trained eyebrow expert.

Microblading is a semi-permanent form of cosmetic tattooing which uses a blade-shaped tool with a row of tiny, barely visible needles to create hair-like strokes on your brow while depositing pigment into your skin.

The result is natural-looking eyebrow hair that can stay intact for several weeks or even months without being washed off.

“This is the newest in terms of beautifying our eyebrows,” La Diva said. “Here at Mommyla’s, our services are regularly updated and aligned with the latest trends in cosmetology.”

Mommyla’s, which opened last year, continues to offer hair services such as haircut, highlights, lowlights, rebond, rebond with treatments, Brazilian, hair color with treatment, hair color with Brazilian, perming and other hair services.

Mommyla’s likewise offers nail spa services such as manicure, pedicure, foot spa and other relaxing services. Michelle said  the foot, hand and nail services should be booked in advance.

Mommyla’s beautician Sharmaine Casquero,  who has been  on Saipan for 25 years now, said she is deeply grateful to community members for  supporting Mommyla’s.

"Thank you, especially to my long-time clients who always support me," she said.

Marlyn “Mommyla” Doughtery, the proprietress of Mommyla's Hair & Beauty Salon, believes that beauty should be timeless.

Her nickname is a combination of mommy and "lola," the Filipino word for  grandmother.

Now in her 60's, Mommyla remains passionate about maintaining one’s health and beauty.

"No matter what our age is,  we must take care of ourselves and  maintain our beauty," she said.
